I'm 25 years old.
I'm a quarter of a century old.
Doesn't roll off my tongue any easier.
If I had a choice of two literary characters I could be, I'd pick either Peter Pan or Dorian Gray.
Probably because the two of them are about enjoying themselves. And also, the fact that they don't grow old (that is until you take a peek at Dorian's picture).
I've heard there is an art to growing older.
Don't be the uncle with the receding hairline and pony tail, but the old dude who rocks his pagoda t-shirt like it was couture.
So 25 isn't that old. But that's the thing about getting older, you blink an eye, and then ask yourself how'd you get there.
I've learnt that at the age of 25, there are still a lot of things I have left undone (and maybe I'm too old to do them), but I'm determined to make sure that the next 25 don't have me doing "what ifs".
Will or will I not succeed?
Bah, come back in 25 years. I'll have a few stories to tell by then I think.
