It's So Quiet

It's 3.47 am now. It will be 3.48 in a bit.

The night is feeling strange, and I can't seem to find my way to sleep. So here I am listening to the steady sounds of a ticking clock, the creaking furniture and the comforting tapping of the keyboard as I'm typing this.

Got done with season 1 of Deadwood. Started on the first episode of season 2 yesterday. It's brilliant how Bullock always seethes with a quiet rage - even when he's bonking the widow, and I find myself liking Swearengen more and more for his undeniable style and how he revels in who he is despite the fact that he's an evil bastard.

It's 4am now, and the fridge just stopped humming. It's a little bit more quiet now.

Nine Inch Nails are going to quit touring soon. I've never seen them in concert. Always wanted to. Always thought I would, but apparently I just might never. That makes me a little bit sad, cause it's the one band I most want to.

Time really flies. It's already soon to be March 2009. Heck, its already 4.09 am.

It's still oh so quiet now. The clock still ticks. And even if the clock stops, the ticking won't.

4.13am. Silent. Still. Tranquil. And I'm reeling from the solitude of a night in the city.

SHAMELESS PLUG THIS ONE IS!

All blogs need to do a little plugging don't they? Some plug other bloggers. Some get paid to plug
merchandise they don't really care for. But me? I PLUG MYSELF!

(mainly cos I ain't one of those fancy shmancy celebrity bloggers. Heck, I argue that I'm not even a blogger. But erh... you know what, if you wanna pay me to plug, my internet soul is YOURS!)

Anyways... back to the point.

=PLUG BEGINS HERE=

For those of you who don't know, I work at RedFM (104.9fm in KL). I come on-air every Sunday to Friday 7pm to 10pm. Now, RedFM is a kick-ass station (which is in no small part helped by me working there) and we play kick-ass music.

And right now, it's gotten even more kick-ass-er because you can win some dough aka money aka dosh aka dinero aka MONEY aka MONEEEEEEY.

Oh yes, the name of the game is RedFM's FourPlay and we have RM50 000 to give away.

All you need to do is listen out for these songs:

Aerosmith - Don't Wanna Miss a Thing
Daniel Powter - Bad Day
The Police - Every Breath You Take
LeAnn Rimes - Can't Fight the Moonlight

Then, SMS the station with RED [your name] [ic number] and send it to 32733. After that its just crossing your fingers and making sure you get a call-back. Because if you do, we are giving away up to RM2500 depending on how many of those songs get played.

Of course, if you need more info, go to our website. Then tune in so you can win that money to buy me a NINTENDO WII!! Or a PLAYSTATION 3!! OR EVEN AN XBOX 360!!

=PLUG ENDS HERE=

edit: how unbelievably kawaiidesuitsuverilykiutsu~~! was that? Urgh. I promise that future posts will involve improved levels of decorum. But only marginally.
---

Now, all plugging aside, I recently got into a wee bit of an accident. I was driving home and a Nissan Xtrail, which is a considerably larger car, decided to switch lanes - except that he didn't realize I was IN that lane.

He drove into me. Wrecking a door, and hurting my feelings.

So if you see a Kelisa around the streets of KL, with a very tragically wrecked left side, do stop and say hi.

And then offer to buy me a new car.

Jizzum Fizzum

Finally, a song to describe the feeling you get when you see a girl you like, and you can't help yourself.

Jeremy Teo and The Flying Time

Chinese New Year is over.

And I still feel like I'm recovering from Christmas.

Where has my month gone? I mean, I had such great plans for January. The books to read, the people to see, the movies to watch, the things to do.

I don't think I did much - if any - of those things.

If I were a lesser man, I'd probably be worried about how I've not been as productive as I should be. But lucky for me, I'm not that man. I know I've got at least another 11 months to get those things done.

So what's that they say again about how time and tide wait for no man?

Feh.

I am not just that.

I am
