Everytime I come on to my blog, there's a little voice inside that goes "Ala, not updated also".
Then I realize if there's any updating to be done, I have to do it.
My blog should be so awesome it updates itself. Of all people, I'm the one that wants to know the most about what I think about things, you know?
Maybe a ghost-blogger is in order. =)

One for The Lovers.
So I found myself at a wedding dinner last Saturday. And as far as weddings go, it was pretty awesome. Lots of food, drink and girls in pretty dresses.
In fact, it was so awesome, the whole event ran like one big party. The emcee made it feel like it was a rock concert; there was a live band, dancing and lots of videos for everybody to feel warm and fuzzy all over for the newlyweds.
The warm and fuzzy even managed to make yours truly (who will admit to being a hard-ass with regards to everything matrimonial) go "Awww~~...". Notice the pink font colour?
Next time I go to a wedding I will make sure I watch all 4 Die Hard movies beforehand to counteract the warmfuzzy barrage, thus ensuring I leave with my self-concept intact.
Now marriage has always struck me as an archaic notion. It's a social contract induced to ensure the legal, social and economic stability of the parties involved, which is something that isn't necessary in today's world of gender equality and equal opportunity and all that jazz.
But then I suppose that because there isn't a need for it, that when two people actually decide to commit like that, it means a whole lot more, no?
I just read that last line I wrote. I guess I still have the fuzzywuzzies from the wedding. Expect a retraction or at least a post on why being single is awesome in the next few days.
In the meantime though, I'll dedicate this one to all the lovers out there.

Sunday
I like Sundays.
On Sunday there is no pressure to go out and make the "most" out of your weekend. You are allowed a free pass on Sunday to do absolutely nothing at all.
If Sunday were a song, it'd be very chill. Maybe an acoustic number with no message. With lyrics about a cloud hanging out with the sun. Doing absolutely nothing at all
Ah, yes. I like my Sundays. And if you like them too, we should hang out some time.

It went "ker-runk".
Don't fall asleep on the road. Unless you want to drive up the sidewalk and feel yourself adding to the depreciation value of your car.
I can tell you from personal experience that it's not fun.

When in doubt ...
There will come a time in your life when you need to make difficult decisions. Decisions about life, love and everything in between.
In those moments you will feel the pressure, fear of uncertainty, and self doubt all come together like a rolling ball of pressurefearofuncertaintyandselfdoubt.
So what do you do in those moments?
Flip a coin.
There's nothing like putting your life in the balance of a 50 sen coin. Just ask, heads or tails. Or in the case of the 50 sen coin, the flower or the wau. Whatever floats your boat.
And then flip. Make your decision. And blame it all on fate.
A little too simplistic? Well, yeah. That's the point. The Chinese have this thing called the i-ching which is basically the same idea. Except you flip a bunch of coins a bunch of times and try to then decipher what it means.
Too much work for me. I kinda like the idea of parsimony.
So if you have ever wondered how some of the movers and shakers of the world make the decisions that they do, this is it. It's not informed or researched decisions. It's the flip of a coin.
So flip a coin if you're in doubt. Really.
What's the worst could happen?
